A Whole New Horseshoe – What This Means for Slopeside Owners

Owners at Slopeside Condos are steps away from a world-class facility unlike anything else in the area. This year, Horseshoe Resort has completed a number of upgrades to the resort that cement us as a true four-season destination – and add value to your condo!

Introducing Lake Horseshoe

Lake Horseshoe is a three-acre, 10 million gallon man-made lake at the foot of the ski hill that adds a tremendous amount of fun things for families to do in the summer. The lake features water ramp training, a wakeboard cable park, and an inflatable obstacle course. Of course, you’re welcome to just swim too.

If the beach is more your speed, try out one of our new beach volleyball courts. Created with the help of he Ontario Volleyball Association, Horseshoe now has enough quality beach volleyball courts to host up to a world junior championship.

The lake is proving to be a popular addition to Horseshoe Resort – it was even featured recently on CTV news (watch the video above)!

Whether your family includes professional athletes looking to train or kids who just want to splash around, Lake Horseshoe has something to offer every kind of Slopeside owner.

We’ve Spent $300,000 Improving Valley Golf Course

Valley Golf Course is more beautiful and better than ever. Why? For starters, we’ve improved the playability of the course. Trees have been trimmed back to open up access to the greens from different parts of the fairway. Tee-decks have been levelled. Water features have been re-manicured for a clearer hazard line for the ponds. Bunkers have better drainage to allow for better play—insofar as you play can be better in the sand, anyway.

But we’ve also made Valley Golf Course more attractive than before. We’ve added new white sand to the bunkers. Water features have been cleared of brush. Cart path surfaces have been resurfaced, and areas around the paths have been sodded. Most of the old retaining walls have been replaced with stone steps and new garden features. We’ve also added a dedicated gardener to the turf maintenance staff.

We’re Even More of a Four-Season Destination

Another benefit of Lake Horseshoe? Well, it adds 10 million gallons of water for winter snowmaking, doubling Horseshoe Resort’s snowmaking capabilities. We expect to be open for skiing even earlier this year, so Slopeside owners can expect to get even more ski weekends in during the season. And all that extra snow also means we expect to cover even more terrain.

And to make sure you spend as much time as possible on the slopes, last winter we added a brand new $6 million high-speed chairlift!

There have never been more reasons to invest in Slopeside Condos at Horseshoe Resort!  And Slopeside condo owners will have even more activities at their fingertips than ever before, all year ‘round.
